Prime Poplin Trouser in Stone (Self Sizer Double Reverse Pleat) by Berle, 38 / Regular Rise, The same quality Berle dress pant but with the ultra-comfortable self-sizer waistband. WHAT IS BERLE'S SELF SIZER WAISTBAND? Outside: 2" of visually undetectable stretch for extra comfort. Inside: Bilateral elastic strips are added for more comfortable movement. Many gentlemen like to keep at least a couple pairs of poplin pants on hand for casual occasions. Its easy to understand why. This is a tremendously comfortable material, especially the version used by Berle, which is a 65% polyester 35% cotton blend. Berle's Prime Poplin is loved by many customers for its comfortable fit and impressive look. If the casual portion of your wardrobe has gotten a bit thin, add some options by picking up a pair or two of these mens poplin pants. Men, meet our pleated poplin pants. You can do a lot with these pants. But the key to pulling them off in a complete outfit? The shoes. Pleated pants with raggedy old tennis shoes simply wont do. You can wear dress shoes, if you like, or chukkas. But the important thing to get the perfect look is to dress up your poplin trousers a little bit. These are pleated pants, after all: they have a little more flair than their flat-fronted brethren. So, too should the rest of your outfit. Theres another critical item to pay attention to here: the belt. Make sure you wear a belt with the proper width (with just barely enough wiggle room in your belt loops) and that you match your belt approximately to the same hue of your shoes. Avoid mixing your brown pants and black belts-or vice versa-and youll generally pull off the color combinations properly. Crafted with detail in Berle's Self Sizer pleated relaxed fit with a regular rise (12"). FEATURES: Prime Poly/Cotton Poplin Double Reverse Pleat Front Regular Rise (12") Relaxed Fit: Sits Straight on the Hips and Thighs Self Sizer Waistband Extends Up to 2" for Added Comfort 65% Polyester 35% Cotton Unfinished Bottom DOUBLE REVERSE PLEAT SELF SIZER MODEL - RELAXED FIT MEASUREMENTS: Double Reverse Pleat REGULAR RISE: 12" (measured from the top of the waistband to the crotch seam) THIGH: 28 5/8" KNEE : 22 1/4" BOTTOM : 18 1/8" Sizing is based on a pant size 34 ABOUT BERLE: After immigrating to the United States from Poland in the early 1900s, brothers Philip and Hyman Berlinsky opened New York Tailors, a men's clothing store, on King Street in historic Charleston, S.C. Philip, who was considered a master of his trade and who could work miracles with a needle and thread, often custom-made pants upon request from his customers. After World War II ended in 1946, the brothers decided to open their own trouser manufacturing company. They named the company Berle Manufacturing, which they considered to be an appropriate abbreviation of Berlinsky. Eventually, the brothers decided to separate the retailing and the manufacturing sides of the business and split them amongst the family. Hyman and his family took over New York Tailors, while Philip and his four sons, Maurice, Herbert, Danny and Norman went with Berle. A discovery by Philip's son, Herbert, put the company in league with major trouser manufacturers. While on a trip to Florence, S.C., Herbert heard about a new model of trousers that all the young boys were requesting. It was called an "up flaps model," instead of the traditional "down flaps" model. He had a tailor there make him a pair and brought them back to Charleston where they took off and became one of the hottest models sold in the Southeast for the next 10 years. Today, the company is run by the 4 th generation of family who possess an in depth knowledge of the fashion retail industry. The commitment to deliver fashionable, comfortable and quality apparel is still as strong today as it was when the company was founded. , Pants, J.
